IPOD NANO

One of the most ubiquitous ? if not THE most ubiquitous ? piece of high tech electronics is the Apple iPod. This piece of gadgetry has permeated all levels of society and has become a new addition to our world culture. The brand itself has not only transformed Apple into THE brand of the millennium, it has also given the company an additional layer of cool cache. The iPod itself has become as firmly engrained in our collective psyche as much as Coke has. Just say iPod and everyone knows precisely what you are talking about.

Ex-Marine Brad Collum though thinks of something entirely different when he talks about iPods. In his blog and in a column that was published in the McSweeney?s Journal , Collum has thought up of eight ways of murdering a person by just using an iPod Nano ? the most diminutive model in the iPod line. Collum?s suggestions are quite hilarious especially since the Nano, although a triumph in industrial design, looks very flimsy and easily breakable.

Among the tamer suggestions Collum forwarded in his article are:

* Use the reflective back of the Nano to blind a person?s eyes while he?s driving or operating heavy machinery.

* Dig a hole and then place sharpened sticks at the bottom of the hole with the points pointing upward. Across the diameter of the hole put some leaves and branches and then place a Nano in the middle as bait.

* Break apart a Nano and then rub the contents of a teabag with the Nano?s battery. The tea will become poisonous and anyone who makes tea out of the contaminated teabag will definitely be killed.
